Thanks for answering me.

Answering your question, the messages are copied and pasted. My R is in
Portuguese. So Erro = Error. I forgot to translate the last two error
messages to English.

I'll try to follow your suggestion and use a generic source, and specified
the columns arguments. I was able to read those files when I used .csv
files. But I got stuck again, and I'm pretty sure that is because I'm not
specifying correctly the columns to be read.

Let's see how far I can go today!
