NIBR Postdoctoral Program 

Would you like to contribute to innovative research with the goal of improving human health? Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research has a variety of postdoctoral positions in biology, chemistry, and computational sciences that provide excellent training in research and exposure to science in a pharmaceutical setting. Postdoctoral scholars at NIBR have a unique opportunity to conduct innovative, interdisciplinary basic research and are expected to publish their results in leading journals. The postdoctoral term is up to 4 years. 

Postdoctoral position in Pathways Biology and Computational Sciences, Cambridge, MA, USA 

We are currently seeking candidates for a postdoctoral position to perform cutting-edge research that integrates chemical biology, phenotypic screening, and informatics. We are interested in designing approaches to interrogate pathway biology that further our understanding of epistatic interactions- in particular, how perturbagens such as compounds, genomewide RNAi, or CRISPR interact in cellular contexts and expose novel network biology and identify compound targets. The postdoc will have the unique opportunity to participate in both ‘dry’ and ‘wet’ lab research in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team with extensive experience in computational science and high-throughput biology.
Qualifications: PhD in interdisciplinary fields such as Chemical Biology, Systems Biology, or Bio/Cheminformatics. A background in experimental compound or RNAi screening, data analysis, and good statistical knowledge is desired. Candidates must be able to work independently as well as participate effectively in team efforts. Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills as well as scientific creativity are essential.
