Summary
The Breakthrough Breast Cancer Research Unit sits within the section of Research Oncology in the Division of Cancer Studies at the Guy’s Hospital Campus of King’s College London. Under the leadership of Professor Andrew Tutt, our research is entirely devoted to a specific type of breast cancer, called Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC). Our goal is to advance research into the causes, diagnosis and treatment of TNBC. Our unit is a member of the Breakthrough network, providing us with the unique opportunity to partner with other research institutes to make the discoveries that defeat breast cancer. King’s College London is one of the 11 NIHR Biomedical Research Centres and provides state-of-the-art laboratory space, with excellent core facilities and funding.

Details
Applications are sought for a Research Analyst (Bioinformatician or Programmer) to provide support towards the analysis of high-throughput transcriptomic and genomic datasets. The successful applicant should have a quantitative background and relevant experience in analysing large biological datasets. Experience in the analysis of high-density array based and next generation sequencing (NGS) datasets is essential. A sound knowledge of statistical methodologies is required. Experience with statistical programming in R is particularly desirable.
