[BioC] SNP analysis

I have a general question and "googling" it does not give me much help:

What packages are available from Bioconductor for SNP analysis and how
is its capability and scalability, compared with other softwares like
dChip?

The next question might be a bit off-topic:
What softwares (commercial or free) are available for this task?
