A Postdoc position for 2 years is immediately available in the
department of target research (PH-GDD-EURC-TR) at Bayer HealthCare AG
in Wuppertal, Germany.
Postdoctorial position "Lab head Biomarker"
The successful candidate has expertise in and will work on the following topics:
- planning, coordination, and lab work to identify biomarkers using
both patient samples and animal models
- design and generation of biomarker sample collection (serum and tissues)
- statistical analysis of expression data from microarray chip
experiments using specialized software (e.g. R/Bioconductor, Genedata
Expressionist, Spotfire)
- analysis of serum samples using various technologies (e.g. ELISA,
RIA, enzyme tests)
- design of novel bioassays, esp. "Cell-based assays"
Requirements:
- Ph.D. in biomedical research
- Experience in enzymatic and cell-based analysis
- Experience in bioinformatics, esp. analysis of DNA microarray data
- Additional medical knowledge in cardiology and cardiovascular
disease would be a plus.
- Very good ability to interact and communicate
