[BioC] Saturation in Affy chips

Dear List,

Several papers on analysis of microarrays mention saturation as a problem in some microarrays.  I was wondering what standard practice was regarding detection of saturation (at what intensity level is a probe considered saturated).  Once a probe is labeled as saturated, what is done about it? 

Any references would be appreciated, too.
