[BioC] tuning signals in image() plots?

Hi,

I wonder if there is a function in the affy package that allows the raw signals from .cel files to be "tuned" up when making image() plots? 
(As you probably know, some aberrations are not visible unless one turn up brightness of signals...MAS 5.0 software has this function - but I rather do everything in R.)
