When I attempt to install package RMAGEML, the following bits in the
compilation line gave me fits

-L/usr/lib/jvm/java-6-openjdk/jre/jre/lib/amd64
-L/usr/lib/jvm/java-6-openjdk/jre/jre/lib/i386 -ljava
-L/usr/lib/jvm/java-6-openjdk/jre/jre/lib/amd64/server
-L/usr/lib/jvm/java-6-openjdk/jre/jre/lib/i386/client

note the /jre/jre/ tandem repeats in all three -L arguments  -- if I add a
symlink to my directory structure to fix that, then the install goes
swimmingly
