[Bioc-devel] Archived CRAN packages that break Bioconductor packages

Dears,
I have contacted the maintainers of the blaster (CRAN) package, and they
have indicated that they
will look into the issue.
In case the package remains archived, do we have alternative options? In
particular, if implementing
the required features to remove this dependency is not feasible within a
reasonable timeframe.
Regarding blaster specifically, I am currently evaluating rBlast as a
potential alternative in ClustIRR.
