[Bioc-devel] Will package version 3.99.0 bump to 4.0.0?

I want edgeR to bump to a major new version 4.0.0 for the Bioconductor 3.17 release this month.

If I set the edgeR version to 3.99.0 on the developmental repository now, will that bump to version 4.0.0 for the Bioconductor 3.17 release?
