Thank you for bringing this to our attention. The package guidelines should now reflect this change.

    However, the package guidelines (https://www.bioconductor.org/developers/package-guidelines/) still say that a Author/Maintainer field is allowed:
    Authors using R or Author/Maintainer:” fields: Use either Authors using R field or Author: and Maintainer: fields, not both.

    I think the guidelines need to be updated.
