[Bioc-devel] Problems with vignettes in devel builds for affyPLM

it has been pointed out to me that affyPLM is not building in the devel
branch for win and mac osx targets


The windows builds give something like this:

* creating vignettes ...Warning in file(con, "r") :
  cannot open file 'E:\biocbld\bbs-2.8-bioc\tmpdir\RtmpfSM3jS
\xshell4f7c37f6': Permission denied
Error in file(con, "r") : cannot open the connection

and the mac os X builds time out altogether at the vignette stage. 

What might cause this behavior?
