BioConductor Developer Workshop
4 - 5 April 2007
Lausanne, Switzerland

This meeting is aimed at active developers as well as prospective developers
interested in improving package writing skills and contributing to the
BioConductor project.

The workshop will be held at the University of Lausanne, Switzerland, with
English as the working language.  Registration is free, but the number of
participants is limited to 50.


* Tutorials:
  -- New Biobase classes and discussion of S4 implementation details
  -- Developing packages that use S4 classes
  -- svn overview; package contribution, review, and release
  -- New SQLite-based annotation data packages
  -- Using Sweave for vignettes and reproducible research
  -- Profiling, with emphasis on new memory profiling techniques
taught by developers Robert Gentleman, Wolfgang Huber, Seth Falcon,
Martin Morgan

* Roundtable sessions:
  -- Question/Answers
  -- Miscellaneous issues from participants

The meeting will start on the morning of Wednesday 4 April, so you should plan
to arrive by the evening before.  Additional local information (lodging,
transportation, etc) will be posted soon.  The closest airport is in Geneva.
