Package implementation

All R, C++, and test implementations distributed in this package are original
work copyright Long Feng and are distributed under the MIT License. See
LICENSE in the package source. The full MIT text is also available as
LICENSE.md in the public source repository.

Chapter 4 implementation provenance
-----------------------------------

The implementations in src/chapter4_alpha.cpp and
src/chapter4_alpha_fdr_conditional.cpp are original HDElliptical work by Long
Feng and are distributed under the MIT License. They contain no copied or
derived GPL source code.

External SEMC reference implementation (not included)
-----------------------------------------------------

The Chapter 7 SEMC implementation in R/chapter7-semc.R and
src/chapter7_semc.cpp is an independent reimplementation from the published
mathematical specification and documented behavioral contracts. For method
audit and fixture validation, the external authors' reference implementation
was inspected at the following immutable revision:

This copyright applies only to the external GEMcluster repository, which is
not included in HDElliptical. Dan Zhuang is credited in Authors@R as a
contributor for the SEMC methodology and the external reference implementation
used for validation.

No copyrightable source expression was copied or selectively migrated from
GEMcluster. The package does not copy or link source code from the GPL-licensed
huge package. In particular, its off-diagonal graphical-lasso solver is an
independent implementation with package-local SPD, KKT, and convergence
certificates.

Literature and formula provenance
---------------------------------

Bibliographic attribution for statistical methods is recorded in the Rd
references and package vignettes. The public source repository also records
the book manuscript and development/METHOD_TRACEABILITY.csv. These citations
identify mathematical provenance and do not imply that source code from the
cited authors was incorporated into this package.
