Explanatory notes to the results

Table
In the results table individual running times and results are shown for different courses. Furthermore the fastest tim on each course is indicated for comparison. Additionaly the average time for one kilometer is calculated for the own time and the time of the best runner. This average is also given for the effective efforts with respect to the altitude. The calcualtions for the effective kilometers are taken from http://laufen-in-siegen.de/.
It is not easy to find a fair conversion from courses with altitude into courses in the plain to compare different courses. If someone knows a good way, plese let me know.

Figure 1: Teamranking
The figure shows the development of the team ranking during the Sola. Remark that the variation at the beginning of the race is larger than at the end. Therefore one cannot compare the rankings that are won (lost) on different courses. Furthermores those changes also depend on the runners on the preceding courses..

Figure 2: Ranking after excluding a single course.
Diese figure (also called "Blossstellungsplot") shows the theoretical ranking of the team if a single course is excluded. This mean that the Sola result is calculated without this course and the ranking of the short version of the Sola is given. The procedure is repeated for each course. The figure shows the advantage that a runner brought for his team. One should be careful by over-interpreting this figure since leaving out a course is a theoretical issue. In reality someone has to run on course 5 :-)
Furthermore the analysis depends on the other runners of the course an in general the runners on the long courses have more strength than on the short ones.
